MCT-01 Overview

A current transformer (CT) is an instrument transformer that transforms high or large primary currents into a proportional, lower secondary current that meters can safely measure and protection and control systems can use. CTs are commonly applied for electrical metering, protection, and monitoring, allowing measurement equipment and protective relays to work with standardized secondary currents such as 1 A or 5 A, depending on the system and CT specification.
